Our services

In addition to the programs and activities that we offer there are also services that are provided at the Meredith Community Centre. 

Use of computers/Internet

Computers and internet use are available to the general public during office hours. At just $2.00 per hour for internet, our spaces provide a professional look if you need to conduct an online meeting. Printing and photocopying is also available with low fees. If you are working from home and need a more reliable internet, why not come on in to the Community Centre! There is no need to book, just come on in and we can assist!

Meredith Mart

We provide pantry staples for our Community to ensure no one goes hungry. Our Mart is located in the house side of the Community Centre and is available to all. Open from 9-3 Monday to Thursday during School Terms.

Room Hire

The Community Centre has rooms available for hire for meeting and social functions of local community groups, not-for-profit groups and training rooms for local and commercial organizations. See our Facility hire page for more information.

Maternal and Child Health Nurse Visits

This service is provided by the Golden Plains Shire on a fortnightly basis. Those wishing to access this service need to book an appointment through the Shire.

Mobile Library Van

This service is provided through Geelong Regional Library.
Follow the link for a timetable of when the Library Van will be available outside the Meredith Community Centre.

Playgroup

The Meredith Playgroup operates from the Community Centre on Tuesdays from 9.00 AM-11.00 AM.
The Playgroup provides a great opportunity for children as well as parents to meet others from the community and participate in a number of activities to meet the social and learning needs of the children.

Free local Library and Parent Resources

The Centre has a library of mainly fictional books available to community members on a free basis. We also have a small but quality collection of Parenting Resources available as well.

Photocopying and Laminating

These services are available to the general public during office hours with charges applying for their use.

Meredith Newsletter

The Meredith District Newsletter is published by a separate committee auspiced by the Community Centre. It is provides interesting local news as well as other useful information and contact to other organisations and businesses in the district area. Meeting place

We provide a meeting place for a number of local and district organisations including the following groups:

  • CERT Team
  • Landcare
  • Police paddocks committee
  • Meredith Cemetary Trust
