We have a number of organisations across the spectrum of Local, Local Government, State Government and Australian Government who are our friends and supporters.

 Merdith-news-logo Meredith and District Newsletter. The community newsletter which is run by a group of dedicated volunteers is auspiced by the Community Centre.  We provide them with office facilties and assistance wherever we can to maintain this important local conduit for news and information.
Learn local logo Learn Local Meredith Community Centre is a Learn Local organisation. We are one of the organisations across Victoria offering a range of education and training programs designed to meet your learning needs. We can help you return to study, improve your reading, writing and maths skills, give you digital literacy skills, get a job or learn something new. Learn Local is funded through the Dept of Education and Training.

The Victorian Government provides funding to over 350 Victorian Neighbourhood Houses and Centres for a wide range of activities through the Neighbourhood House Co-ordination Program (NHCP) The funding is used to support the running of a range of activities which meet community needs. These might include:

  • Drop-in centres
  • Recreational activities like yoga and tai chi
  • Training and further education
  • Volunteering, including serving on the committee and preparing meals in the community kitchen.
 NH_Heart_logo_colour1 Association of Neighbourhood Houses and Learning Centres (ANHLC). The ANHLC is the peak body for Neighbourhood House and Learning Centres in Victoria. They support us with effective state-wide advocacy, quality research, and timely advice on relevant policy and legislative developments.
 gps_h_logo Golden Plains Shire. Our centre is located in the Golden Plains Shire, we work closely with them on many levels to provide a partnership so that we can meet the needs of our communities
 logo Moorabool Shire. Many of our Centre participants and members live in the neighbouring shire of Moorabool.
 DET-logo DET (Department of Education and Training) Our Occasional Care program is subsidised by DET through Childcare benefit and rebate.
